Execution of the policy for Responsible Investing – 1st quarter

 

In the first quarter of 2010 SSPF voted by proxy at the shareholder meetings of 406 companies (3,588 resolutions). At 126 of those meetings SSPF opposed one or more resolutions, mainly on corporate governance issues such as board structure, remuneration and succession planning. The voting took place at companies worldwide. The geographical spread was:

Europe – 123, North America – 83, South America – 21, Australia/New Zealand – 4, Asia (excl. Japan) – 109, Japan – 22, Middle East/Africa – 44.

 
Hermes EOS engaged on behalf of i.a. SSPF with 117 companies on corporate governance and responsible investment issues, including board structure, executive remuneration, child labour, climatic change, controversial weapons, water control and corruption.
 
This also took place at companies worldwide (Europe – 68, North and South America – 16, Asia – 32, Middle East/Africa – 1).

Execution of the policy for Responsible Investing – 2st quarter

 

In the second quarter of 2010 SSPF voted by proxy at the shareholder meetings of 2,526 companies (26,848 resolutions). At 1,145 of those meetings SSPF opposed one or more resolutions, mainly on corporate governance issues such as board structure, remuneration, risk management and capital structure. The voting took place at companies worldwide. The geographical spread was:
Europe – 767, North America – 840, South America – 126, Australia/New Zealand – 20, Asia (excl. Japan) – 363, Japan – 347, Middle East/Africa – 63.

Hermes EOS engaged on behalf of i.a. SSPF with 143 companies on corporate governance and responsible investment issues, including board structure, executive remuneration, succession planning, health and safety, corporate culture, climatic change, controversial weapons, water control and corruption.
This also took place at companies worldwide (Europe – 64, North and South America – 38, Asia – 40, Middle East/Africa – 1).
