I plan to move back to the Netherlands - what will happen to my pension? If you live abroad and move back to the Netherlands, your pension will not change. Moving to the Netherlands may have consequences for your tax situation. The Tax Authority’s (Belastingdienst) website contains more information about this. See: 'useful links'. Healthcare insurance If you move back to the Netherlands, you will be required to take out insurance to cover the costs of healthcare (Zorgverzekering). Information about the healthcare system can be found on the website of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (see: 'useful links' ). |

Shell has a special arrangement with a healthcare insurance company. Under certain conditions, when receiving a partner pension, you are eligible to take out your insurance for healthcare costs under this arrangement. You will find the link on the VOEKS website. You may (again) be eligible for an ex gratia contribution from Shell to the costs of healthcare insurance. If you have notified the Pension Fund of your change of address and are eligible for an ex gratia contribution from Shell to the costs of healthcare insurance, you will receive this automatically with your monthly pension payment. |
