Shell Pension Fund SSPF is taking part in this year’s ‘BOP’ investigation, as it did last year. The Dutch acronym BOP stands for “Benchmark Onderzoeksplatform Pensioenfondsen” (pension fund benchmark investigation). The investigation is being conducted by TNS NIPO and can provide the Pension Fund with an assessment of its communications and services.

Per 1 January 2014 the pension scheme of the Shell Pension Fund (SSPF) is changing. Regulations VI come into effect. Your accrued pension will be transferred to the new Regulations. This will happen automatically. If you do not wish to transfer your pension rights which you have accrued up to and including December 31, 2013, you can inform the Pension Fund of this decision until the end of November.

The pension payments made for August 2013 to retirees, who have yet to reach retirement age under the Netherlands General Old Age Pensions act, were too high.
