Asset Maintenance Engineering
These Engineers optimise the technical performance of all our installations. This could involve you in technical troubleshooting and reliability engineering; new plant design and construction; maintaining assets and maintenance shut downs of our oil and gas installations.
Discipline Engineering
This core team of engineers is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Shell’s on and offshore facilities, and managing complex interdisciplinary engineering projects. Roles are arranged under the umbrella of different disciplines – Materials & Corrosion Engineering, Inspection Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, Civil & Offshore Structures Engineering, Process Automation, Control & Optimisation (PACO)
Electrical Engineering
This team’s roles include troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, designing hardware and software and monitoring power distribution.
Geologist
Geoscience within Shell uses cutting-edge technologies to find new and commercially viable reserves of oil and gas. There are a wide array of roles that typically include Geoscience, Geophysics Production Geoscience and Specialist Geoscience.
Geomatics
Geomatics ensure that geo-information makes a valuable contribution to many of our highest priority projects. It includes onshore and offshore surveying; geo-information management analysis and mapping; on and offshore positioning; geodesy and remote sensing.
HSSE
HSSE has a critical influence over all of Shell’s business and technical operations. Our HSSE Commitment and Policy are fundamental to our goal of producing cleaner energy, creating benefits for local communities and reducing the environmental impact of our operations.
Logistics
Logistics Professionals support the full spectrum of Shell operations across all continents. Here you could be responsible for safely and efficiently moving people and materials by sea, air road and rail.
Maritime
This area of the business supports both Upstream and Downstream projects around the world, providing the focal point for application of marine and maritime expertise in complex shipping and offshore projects.
Mechanical Static
You could provide first-line mechanical static (pressurised equipment) shore based maintenance and engineering support. Your activities could range from trouble shooting to innovative inspection techniques.
Mining
We don’t currently have any roles in Europe.
Petrophysics
Directly related to Shell’s search for and recovery of new reserves, Shell’s Petrophysics team is shaping the future of global energy. They help to develop innovative and safety-conscious ways of searching for, and identifying, energy sources around the world.
Process Engineering
Process Engineering helps with the development and production of raw hydrocarbons and the subsequent process into commercial products. You could be part of the team that designs and optimises chemical process both onshore and offshore.
Production Engineering
Production Engineering oversees the full lifecycle of Shell’s ongoing field development, from design conception through to the final phase of production. You could have a hand in optimising assets performance, field development planning and maintaining existing wells and platforms.
Production Manufacturing
When delivering product quality and value, Shell constantly strives to exceed customer expectations. This team includes industry thought-leaders responsible for the research and development of industrial lubricants.
Production Technologist
Within Production Technology critical tasks include optimising production, integrating asset modelling and planning well completions through a precisely targeted use of technology.
Project Management
Project Engineers contribute to the successful delivery of projects of varying complexity, size and cost, ranging from critical Brownfield upgrades to mega Greenfield projects. This can include leading roles in the planning, designing, execution, commissioning and start-up of a project.
Research and Development
This division is instrumental in helping us meet the challenges of producing sustainable energy including developing new catalysts, creating high-performance fuels and lubricants, exploring sustainable energy technologies and collaborating with customers on novel products.
Reservoir Engineering
The main focus is on developing economically viable plans, forecasting oil and gas production, or recommending well locations for maximum efficiency. You will have a hands-on impact on how oil, gas and water are distributed in our reservoirs.
Rotating & Equipment Engineering
Joining this division graduates have the opportunity to use their specialist knowledge on major machinery types, rotor dynamics and performance calculations.
Technical Data Management
Technical Data Managers are at the forefront of one of the oil and gas industry’s fastest growing sectors, managing and analysing technical and scientific data on diverse and exciting global projects.
Well Engineering
This team delivers critical support for our global exploration and development drive, as well as our efforts to achieve a sustainable energy future. Whether you follow a career in Well Engineering or Completion and Well Interventions, you’ll be involved in preparing for the challenging tasks involved with the exploration and production of oil and gas.
