Vervolgens sluiten anderen zich aan – blazers, toetsenisten, bassisten, drummers en percusionisten. Iedereen voegt een nieuwe textuur of wending toe. De muzikanten luisteren naar elkaar, passen zich aan en bouwen voort op elkaars ideeën. Er is ruimte voor solo’s, maar de ritmesectie houdt de \u003Ci\u003Egroove\u003C/i\u003E vast. De energie van het publiek beïnvloedt het optreden. Wat begint als een ruwe schets, wordt iets gelaagds, dynamisch en krachtigs.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOpen innovatie werkt op een vergelijkbare manier. Shell speelt haar eigen, onderscheidende partij – met wereldwijd zo’n duizenden wetenschappers, ingenieurs en andere experts. Als groot bedrijf is Shell vaak ook de bandleider, maar het zijn alle muzikanten bij elkaar die al improviserend samen de muziek maken.
