Primeur nieuwe Shell Pernis bedrijfsfilm tijdens ‘De haven komt naar je toe’

In het eerste weekend van september vinden normaal gesproken de Wereld Haven Dagen plaats. Nu deze dagen door Corona niet mogelijk zijn, organiseert de Stichting Wereld Haven Dagen het project ‘De haven komt naar je toe’.
Vrijdag 4 september verzorgen zes Shell Pernis-collega’s gastlessen op basisscholen in de omgeving. Zaterdag 5 september is bestempeld als ‘Digital Port Day’. Via de sociale media kanalen en de website van de Stichting Wereld Haven Dagen wordt alle informatie over de ‘Bright Idea Challenge’, de kinderraad website (www.kinderraad.shell), de kinderkrant en diverse beroepenfilmpjes voor kinderen gedeeld via een speciaal educatie programma.
Op deze dag is ook de nieuwe Shell Pernis bedrijfsfilm aangekondigd door een filmpje gemaakt door speciale vloggers. Vandaag rond het middaguur beleefde de film: ‘Wij zijn Shell Pernis, trots op onze toekomst’ de primeur.

On an ordinary weekday, an average of 2700 people work at Shell Pernis in more than 60 plants.

This is our newest plant. Here we can make the heavy oil into more quality fuels for shipping and road traffic.

This installation distils benzene. That's a raw material for rubber, nylon and other synthetic materials.

Climate-wise, it is essential for us to continually reduce our CO2 emissions. Our residual materials
provide 100,000 kilos of CO2 to horticulturists, who use it to grow their plants more quickly.

We're studying this together with others. Take heat that isn't used in our plants. We supply it to families in Rotterdam, so they can heat their homes without generating additional emissions. Shell Pernis has a long future ahead.
