Groot onderhoud in Coronatijd

Shell Pernis is al enkele weken met een grote onderhoudsstop bezig.
Jan Willem van Buren, Turn Around Event Manager, vertelt in deze video waarom het belangrijk is dat de fabrieken en installaties op een goede en veilige wijze blijven functioneren. Een van de extra Corona maatregelen is het gebruik van een speciaal gelaatsscherm; te gebruiken wanneer de 1,5 m social distancing niet kan worden aangehouden. Bart Overwijk van ENGIE Services West Industrie, een van de aannemers op Shell Pernis, geeft aan hoe zij de extra maatregelen hebben opgepakt.

Maintenance on the factories is important because
they have to function in good condition and be reliable.

planned maintenance is important for your car and the safety.

And besides that there are mandatory examinations,
that is the same for factories every 4-6 years.

We created a script for this, from this we informed all staff members.
efore they come on-site,
additional instructions are given before we get started.

We have been working for a few weeks now,
and it works out very good.

Of course, we have to keep each other sharp for the 1,5m distance rule.
By doing this together, Shell and contractors,
we make a safe and succesful event.

The control measures of the RIVM are being followed up.

The hinder of these measures are very limited.

Besides the prescribed measures,
we also make it mandatory to wear face shields during work.
We adapted the accommodations like break rooms,
to keep the 1,5m social distance.

Besides that we monitor that the transport of people
can safely happen within this 1,5m rule.
