Virtual Job Try-out and On-Demand Video Interview

After you have signed up, you will be invited to the Virtual Job Try-out. Choose the Realistic Job Preview that fits you to find out more about the Shell Assessed Internship. You will be asked questions about how you would deal with challenges at work, about working with colleagues and with questions about you.

Once you have completed the Virtual Job Try-out, start the On-Demand Video Interview. You will be given as much time as you need to prepare for each of the three questions. Then, you'll have two minutes to record your answer.

The Virtual Job Try-out and On-Demand Video Interview together take about 40 minutes. You can save your progress, but it must be completed within 7 days of receiving the invitation.

Once the Virtual Job Try-out and On-Demand Video Interview are completed, a Shell recruiter will review your application and answers. Depending on the availability of spots, you will be invited for a Final Assessment.

Final Assessment

The Final Assessment consists of a live online session with two Shell employees. During the session, you will be asked for your opinion on a case study. You can watch it 48 hours prior to the session, so you can prepare.

On the day of your Final Assessment, you will be asked a question related to your case study. If English is not your native language, you will be given 30 minutes to prepare a 5-minute presentation. For English Native Speakers the preparation time is 20 minutes.

The two Shell employees who will assess you will ask additional questions. The final assessment takes a maximum of 40 minutes.

Welcome as an intern

After successfully completing the assessments, you may be offered a spot in the Shell Assessed Internship programme. You will receive interim evaluations from your mentor and supervisor, and of course a final evaluation. After your internship there could be possibilities to move on the Shell Graduate programme or a full-time job.
