We're here at one of Shell's plants in Pernis where we started to unload a reactor in an innovative way.

We looked at one point at a different way to unload a reactor and with particular with non entry and came upon a robot that we call the CatSpider at one point.

If you look at the traditional method.

We used to put in divers, what we call them, at some point.

Which then had to empty under inert condition.

As you could imagine at some point that's pretty physical and dangerous work.

And with this innovation we can reduce that.

The CatSpider is a machine that sucks catalyst up from the reactor.

In the middle you have a big body with three arms attached to it that settles against the wall.

In addition, at the bottom of the suction nozzle it sucks the catalyst from the middle so outward and it is operated from outside the reactor from a module.

The CatSpider has been in existence for four years, has been well deployed already in Australia and the Middle East and now for the first time here in Europe at Shell.

Apart from safety, it is also a piece of efficiency.

What we actually see at any given time indeed is that we can therefore unload a reactor much faster than the traditional way.

And the advantage of course what we have is that we currently have no entries, which means that at any given time no one is exposed to nitrogen.
