New Energy careers at Shell are pushing boundaries at the forefront of energy innovation
The great challenge for the coming decades, for society, is to meet the growing global demand for energy and, simultaneously, reduce CO₂ emissions, which is why we’re in search of talented professionals who share our passion for innovative thinking, cutting-edge technology and a commitment to longer-term technology and capability.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join New Energies – a newly created future-focused division of Shell. If you enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-changing environment, you’ll be in your element, helping us to explore new opportunities in electric renewables, energy storage biofuels, off-shore wind, solar and hydrogen. In this small but influential team you will have the potential to impact the future of energy.

Wind
With a growing market - particularly in NW Europe – in size and competitiveness, our Offshore Wind business is starting to build up its expertise in wind energy. As the industry matures it needs innovation at several levels. These include turbine design, yield improvement, and the reduction of operating costs.

Solar
We recognise that Solar will play a major role in tomorrow’s energy systems. That’s why we’re investing in developing solar PV projects, building a solar development and asset management capability and cultivating partnerships with leading players in this field.

Strategy and Innovation
Our Strategy and Innovation team advises on fundamental developments in the power market, provides the commercial intelligence that drives business development projects and provides leadership to the Energy Market Analysis team. As part of the team you’ll be working with a range of senior decision-makers, helping to develop their new business development funnels and supporting business/project evaluation.
