Wat komt in het Privacy Statement aan bod?
Dit Privacy Statement geeft informatie over de persoonsgegevens die door Shell worden verzameld en verwerkt in het kader van de verstrekking en het gebruik van de services geleverd door Shell Fleet Solutions inclusief de Shell Card (“SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES”), alsmede bij uw bezoeken aan de Shell-websites die verband houden met de bedrijfsactiviteiten van Shell Fleet Solutions, inclusief de Shell Fleet Hub Online Portal. Voor alle overige interacties met Shell of gelieerde maatschappijen van Shell ("de Shell Groep"), wordt verwezen naar de relevante privacyverklaring via www.shell.com/privacy en via de Shell website voor uw locatie.
Wie is verantwoordelijk voor de verzamelde persoonsgegevens?
EuroShell Cards B.V. in samenwerking met Shell Nederland Verkoopmaatschappij B.V., gevestigd te Weena 505, 3013 AL Rotterdam en de gelieerde maatschappijen binnen de Shell Groep.
Gegevensbronnen
Indien u uw persoonsgegevens niet rechtstreeks aan Shell heeft verstrekt, wijzen wij u erop dat Shell uw persoonsgegevens heeft ontvangen via de werkgever of contractant waar u werkzaam bent (primaire kaarthouder), of via uw lease- of fleetmanagement maatschappij
Welke persoonsgegevens worden door ons verwerkt?
In aanvulling op de persoonsgegevens in de hierboven genoemde relevante privacyverklaring en afhankelijk van de exacte diensten die door u en uw bedrijf worden afgenomen, kan Shell enkele of alle van de volgende soorten gegevens verwerken:
- Gebruikers id’s, marketing- en taalvoorkeuren;
- Gegevens van directeuren (en andere gelieerde personen), waaronder naam en geboortedatum (dit is vereist voor de controle op de naleving van anti-witwas, anti-omkopings- en anti-corruptiewetgeving / kredietbeoordelingen);
- Transactiegegevens, waaronder naam van chauffeur, pasnummer, kenteken, gekochte producten en datum, tijd en locatie van aankopen;
- CCTV-beelden op Shell-stations voor veiligheid, beveiliging,fraudebeheer en operationale doeleinden.
Doeleinden waarvoor de verzamelde persoonsgegevens worden verwerkt
In aanvulling op de doeleinden in de hierboven genoemde relevante privacyverklaring, zullen persoonsgegevens die door u of uw bedrijf worden verstrekt om de SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES te gebruiken en/of verzameld worden door het gebruik van de SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES, worden verwerkt voor de volgende doeleinden:
- afhandelen van de aanvraag;
- vaststellen van de identiteit van de kaarthouder indien gewenst, door de werkgever of contractant waar de kaarthouder werkzaam is;
- uitvoeren van kredietbeoordelingen met betrekking tot belangrijke personen per klant, zoals directieleden. Wij controleren niet elke individuele kaarthouder;
- beheren van de account(s) van de kaarthouder en faciliteren van toegang tot en gebruik van de online services in verband met SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES;
- voortdurend beoordelen en/of evalueren van de status van de kaart en/of de aankoopgegevens voor de Shell Card;
- monitoren van volume en uitgaven;
- registratie voor andere gerelateerde diensten en verschillende betaalmethoden (bijvoorbeeld mobiele betalingen via de Shell-app);
- voor veiligheidsredenen, in het bijzonder om het personeel en de activa van Shell en haar klanten te beschermen en om onze klanten te beschermen bij het gebruik van producten met veiligheidsvereisten.
Aanvullende informatie voor gebruikers van Telematics-diensten
Als uw voertuig is uitgerust met een door Shell uitgegeven telematica- oplossing, kan Shell ook informatie verzamelen over:
- de locatie van uw voertuig, wat gebruikt kan worden om een berekening te maken van bijvoorbeeld de snelheid van het voertuig, de genomen route;
- of het voertuig is gestopt;
- de acceleratie, vertraging (remmen) en genomen bochten van uw voertuig;
- of de veiligheidsgordel wordt gebruikt;
- informatie over de motor van uw voertuig (bijvoorbeeld motortoerental), elektronische systeem (bijvoorbeeld accuspanning) en waarschuwingssysteem (bijv. motorwaarschuwingslampje aan);
- bijtanken of opladen van het voertuig.
Shell kan deze gegevens gebruiken in combinatie met andere gegevens die we over u hebben, zoals tankkaarttransacties, om analyses, aangevraagd door uw bedrijf of een gerelateerd bedrijf, te kunnen maken om een beter inzicht te krijgen in de rijstijl, veiligheid, voertuigprestaties en routeinformatie.
Communicatie en Marketing
U kunt namens Shell aanbiedingen ontvangen. In alle gevallen krijgt u of de gemachtigde vertegenwoordiger van uw bedrijf de mogelijkheid om de uitschrijffunctie te gebruiken via de verschillende digitale kanalen die we gebruiken om met u te communiceren. Kredietbeoordelingen
Bij de verwerking van een aanvraag en tijdens de duur van een SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES - overeenkomst kan Shell de kredietwaardigheid beoordelen van het bedrijf beoordelen, evenals die van belangrijke individuen die aan dat bedrijfzijn verbonden,zoals directieleden. Hiervoor maakt Shell gebruik van erkende kredietcontrolebureaus die gebruik zullen maken van krediet rating of andere geautomatiseerde besluitvormingsprocessen; en de administratie van kredietreferentiebureaus. Met wie delen wij uw persoonsgegevens?
In aanvulling op de ontvangers als omschreven in de in deze Privacyverklaring en de hierboven genoemde relevante privacyverklaring kunnen uw persoonsgegevens worden gedeeld met:
- het bedrijf (dat is de SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES-klant) die namens u de SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES heeft besteld;
- de deelnemers die betrokken zijn bij het leveren van de SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES, zoals de detailhandelaren, erkende toldienstverleners en/of een ander bedrijf dat producten en/of diensten mag leveren aan SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES -gebruikers;
- kredietinformatie-, screenings- en/of fraudepreventiebureaus, alsmede referenten, borgstellers of andere partijen die referenties of zekerheden verstrekken met betrekking tot uw zakelijke verplichtingen;
- uw partners - in het geval dat uw bedrijf ervoor heeft gekozen om samen te werken met een externe dienstverlener(bijvoorbeeld fleet management bedrijven, leasemaatschappijen), met als doel om de derde partij in staat te stellen de diensten te leveren die u nodig heeft (bijvoorbeeld managementinformatie, geconsolideerde facturering).
Hoe lang bewaren wij uw persoonsgegevens?
Shell zal uw persoonsgegevens alleen bewaren zolang als nodig is om te voldoen aan zakelijke, wettelijke of fiscale vereisten.
- Persoonsgegevens in facturen, transactiebestanden, correspondentie met klanten en bestellingen van nieuwe Shell Card(s) – 10 jaar;
- Contracten (die contactgegevens bevatten) – de looptijd van het contract plus 20 jaar;
- Overige contractgegevens en kaarthoudersgegevens – de looptijd van het contract plus 4 jaar;
- Telematicagegevens – 3 jaar.

What does this Privacy Statement cover?
This Privacy Statement provides information about personal data which are collected and processed in connection with the services provided by Shell Fleet Solutions business including the Shell Card (‘SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES’) as well as your visits to the Shell websites related to the Shell Fleet Solutions business. For all other interaction with a company or companies within the Shell Group of companies (‘’Shell’’) please refer to the relevant privacy notice at www.shell.com/privacy and from the Shell website at your location.
Who is responsible for any personal data collected?
EuroShell Cards B.V. in cooperation with Shell Nederland Verkoopmaatschappij B.V., Weena 505, 3013 AL Rotterdam, and affiliated companies within the Shell group of companies.
Source of personal data
If you have not provided your personal data directly to Shell, please be informed that Shell has obtained your personal data from your employing or contracting company or from your leasing or fleet management company.
What personal data do we process?
In addition to the personal data set out in the relevant privacy notice referred to above and depending on the exact services used by you and your company, Shell may process some or all of the following types of data:
- User ids, marketing and language preferences;
- Director’s (and other associated persons’) details including name and date of birth date (where these are required for trade compliance, anti-money laundering and anti-bribery and corruption purposes/ credit checking);
- Transaction details including driver’s name, card number, vehicle identifier, products purchased, date, time and location;
- CCTV images at Shell Retail locations for safety, security, fraud management and operational purposes.
Purposes for processing the personal data collected
As well as the purposes set out in the relevant privacy notice referred to above, Personal Data supplied by a customer to apply to use the SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES and/or collected through the use of the SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES, will be processed for the purposes of;
- processing the application;
- establishing a cardholder’s identity if requested by your employing or contracting company;
- completing credit checks, in relation to key individuals per customer such as company directors. We do not credit check each individual cardholder;
- operating the account(s) and facilitating access to and use of the online services relating to the SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES;
- assessing and/or reviewing the card status and/or purchase record of the Shell Card on an ongoing basis;
- monitoring volume and spend information;
- registration for other related services and different payment methods (e.g. mobile payments via the Shell App);
- for safety and security reasons in particular to protect the personnel and assets of Shell and its customers and to protect our customers when using products with special handling requirements.
Additional information for users of Telematics services
If your vehicle is fitted with a Shell issued telematics device, Shell may also collect information about:
- your vehicle’s location which can be used to calculate e.g. vehicle speed, route taken;
- whether the vehicle is stopped;
- your vehicle’s acceleration, deceleration (braking) and cornering;
- whether the seat belt is used;
- information from your vehicle’s engine (e.g. engine speed), electrical system (e.g. battery voltage) and warning system (e.g. engine warning light on);
- vehicle refueling or charging.
Shell may use these data in combination with other data we hold about you, e.g. fuel card transactions, to provide analysis requested by your employing or engaging company to better understand driving style, safety, vehicle performance and routing information.
Communication and Marketing
You may receive offers on behalf of Shell. On all occasions you or your company’s authorised representative will be given the opportunity to use the unsubscribe functionality through the different digital channels we use to interact with you. Credit Checks
When processing an application and during the term of any SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES agreement, we may assess the creditworthiness of the company/business applying, as well as that of key individual(s) associated with that business e.g. company directors. We use authorized third party credit checking agencies for this purpose who will use. credit scoring or other automated decision making processes; and records held by credit reference agencies. Who will we share your personal data with?
In addition to the categories of recipients set out in the relevant privacy notice referred to above your personal data may be shared with:
- the company (that is the SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES customer) which ordered the SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES on your behalf;
- the participants involved in providing the SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES, such as the retailers, authorised toll service providers and/or any other company that is permitted to supply products and/or services to SHELL FLEET SOLUTIONS SERVICES users;
- credit reference, screening and/or fraud prevention agencies as well as referees, guarantors or other persons providing references or security in relation to your business obligations;
- customer’s third party partners - in the event your company has chosen to work with a third party service provider (e.g. fleet management companies, leasing companies), for the purpose of enabling the third party to provide the services you require (e.g. management information, consolidated invoicing)
How long do we hold your personal data for?
Shell will only hold your personal data for as long as is necessary to meet business, legal or fiscal requirements.
- Personal data contained in invoices, transaction files, correspondence with customers and requests to issue new fuel cards – 10 years;
- Contracts (which contain contact details) – the life of the contract plus 20 years;
- Other contract data and cardholder data – the life of the contract plus 4 years;
- Telematics data – 3 years.
